KUBLER INTRODUCES SEAWATER RESISTANT SENDIX ENCODERS
Kübler GmbH, a leading manufacturer of encoders announces the addition of seawater resistance to its proven Sendix encoders to address applications in coastal and offshore environments.
The Sendix family of devices already has a proven history in harsh applications and has now been certified to IEC 68-2-11 for its resistance to the effects of continuous salt-spray for a period exceeding 672 hours – the highest test level. (Automobiles are tested to 120 hours). This encoder family guarantees tested safety and reliability, and covers incremental, absolute, multi-turn absolute, magnetic absolute and numerous Fieldbus versions. The range covers encoders with 36 mm diameter, 50 mm and 58 mm diameter in solid and hollow shaft versions. The high certification level for the Sendix encoders attests not only to particularly good corrosion resistance, but also to their excellent aging properties.
The economically priced Sendix range is designed for indoor and demanding outdoor conditions, and features a wide temperature range of from -40 up to +85°C, and an optional high protection rating of up to IP69K. Kuebler’s patented Safety-Lock™ Bearing system provides very high shock and vibration resistance, and temperature and aging compensation ensures proper operation during the encoder’s long life. Kuebler’s Sendix encoders can be used in a large variety of applications including machinery, commercial vehicles, wind energy, dockside cranes, drilling or offshore installations. Stainless Steel versions are available for wash down applications, frequently a requirement in the food and pharmaceutical industries
All Kübler products are CE approved, and carry a 2 year warranty.
