Visolux has been an innovator in the field of photoelectric sensors
for nearly 50 years. The first solid state colour mark sensor and the excellent
background suppression scanners are prime examples of the company's policy,
design to meet customers' needs. Visolux's product line currently includes
a large range of through beam, retro-reflective and diffuse reflective
sensors, background suppression scanners, fork shape sensors, colour mark
detectors, luminescence and laser registration scanners, fibre optic sensors,
data transmission over infrared, laser based distance measurement sensors,
etc. Inductive, capacitive
and ultrasonic sensors and micro processor base inductive loop detectors
round out the product range of non contact sensing.
Through Beam, Retro-Reflective, Diffuse Reflective
A large range of sensors from miniature through to large sensors cover
the sensing range up to 60m. Various housings and sensor sizes are available
in all types to meet the most demanding needs.
Background Suppression Scanners
Visolux background suppression scanners are designed to ignore all objects
beyond the precise sensing range. These sensors can be used to detect objects
of all textures or colours, down to 6% black, that fall within the sensing
range. Having foreground suppression too, dirt or dust have little effect
on the sensing range, making it an ideal product for many applications.
Fixed focus products are ideal in production environments where operators
do not need to make adjustments.
The miniature 4mm diameter KT10 covers the range up to 6mm while scanning
ranges of up to 6m can be achieved using larger sensors.
Colour Registration And Luminescence Scanners
Visolux colour registration/contrast scanners are well known for their
accuracy, high resolution, stability and fast speed. They cover a large
visible frequency spectrum, various versions can detect contrast differences
from 9.5mm through 120mm away. Laser registration scanners provide pinpoint
accuracy over large distances.
Visolux luminescence scanners transmit ultraviolet light which reflects
off luminescent marks or objects. The scanner evaluates the reflections
and provides an output.
Fork Shape Sensors
The GL series are fork shaped through beam sensors used in the detection
of very small objects at a relatively large distance.
Designed especially for high speed detection of labels on carriers,
the ML19 will detect labels up to 10,000 per second.
Data Transmission Over Infrared
Visolux is an innovator in optoelectronic data transmission devices. Applications
for these products include machinery, AGVs, mobile cranes, and logistics.
The simple devices operate at a speed of 2400 bits/s at a maximum distance
of 1.5m. These are suitable for applications involving conveyer installations
or AGVs which receive and send instructions while at docking stations.
The high performance units can operate up to 300m with transmission speeds
of up to 500Kb/s. There are invaluable in high bay warehouses where stacker
cranes are linked, without cables, to stock control computers.
Ultrasonic Sensors
Visolux ultrasonic sensors are available in through beam or reflective
type. Switching sensors are available with dual outputs for high/low control
switching, while analogue sensors can provide a signal relative to the
distance of the object from the sensors. Ultrasonic sensors can also be
used in particularly dirty, moist environments to replace photoelectric
sensors.
Inductive and Capacitive Sensors
Visolux has a large range of inductive and capacitive sensors in various
styles including cylindrical, fork shape and limit switch style. Analogue
inductive sensors round out the range of inductive sensors.
