Fiber Optic Data Transmission for encoder and sensor signals over electrically noisy, explosive areas or long distances

Signals transmitted over fiber optic cable are immune to electrical noise, and are well suited for explosive areas.

Maintaining the ground reference potential over long distances is difficult, sometimes leading to erroneous results.  The fiber optic transmitters and receivers could be the answer.  The Motrona fiber optic transmitters can transmit signals over 2,000 or 3,000 meters with isolated ground potential between the transmitters and receivers.  Simply use the ground potential on the receiver side to ensure error free signals which replicate the transmitting signals.

The Motrona LW213 / LW 214 and LW215 / LW216 are used for incremental and sensor (PNP) signals while the LW217 / LW218 are used for SSI signals.
