Incremental Encoders

Speed measuring on rotating axes with incremental encoders.

Incremental encoders deliver a certain number of pulses per shaft revolution. The speed of a movement is determined by measuring the period or counting the pulses per time unit. When used with measuring wheels or directly connected to machine shafts, incremental encoders are also used to measure length in many applications.

The Sendix encoder – made in Germany – is the result of the highest quality awareness and careful selection of materials. It has proved its value in many industries as a robust and precise sensor technology.

Absolute Encoders Singleturn

Position acquisition over 360° with singleturn absolute encoders

With absolute singleturn encoders, a coded position value is assigned to each angular position in order to record the absolute position. Even after the encoder has been disconnected from the power supply, the unambiguous position is still available. The Sendix encoder – made in Germany – is the result of the highest quality awareness and careful selection of materials. It has proved its value in many industries as a robust and precise sensor technology.

Absolute Encoders Multiturn

With absolute multiturn encoders, up to 24 bits of unique angular positions are output per revolution. The number of revolutions is also recorded. The unambiguous position is available even after the encoder has been disconnected from the power supply. Magnetic Length Measurement Systems

Contactless position measurement suitable for the harshest environments.

With a linear magnetic measuring system, the sensor system, also called scanning head or sensor, is guided contactlessly over a coded magnetic tape. You can choose between incremental and absolute sensors. The measuring system is insensitive to dust, chips, and moisture and resistant to many liquids and oils. Various interfaces are available for the respective applications. Kübler always provides you with the optimum sensor technology for your application.
