Motor Controllers + Molded Case Circuit Breakers

Sprecher + Schuh's KT9 Motor Circuit Controllers are a versatile and technologically advanced control product. KTAs combine the functions of current limiting short circuit protection, Class 10 differential tripping thermal overload protection, approved means disconnect and signalling for motors up to 30HP (@460V). KTA9 (for use with Design B motors) and KTC7 (for use with Design E motors) are available for UL with UL listing for "Construction Type E" applications and KTB9 is available with short-circuit only applications which allows use in a variety of control schemes and applications. Full arrays of accessories are available including internal and external auxiliaries, thru-the-door handle mechanisms, and compact bus bars for multi-starter panel assemblies.

Sprecher + Schuh's CL7 & CL8 Ecombo and CK7 EcomboPlus are assemblies of KTA7 or KTC7 in combination with a CA7 or CA8 contactor for remote control which are cULus listed as a Type E/F, self-protected combination controller. Ecombo and EComboPlus starters cover motors up to 45 amperes, with current limiting short circuit protection up to 65kA. These assemblies are most often applied in multi-motor starter control panels.

The CLT7 Three-Component Controller combines a KTB7 controller, a CA7 contactor and a CEP7 Overload. CLT7 and reversing CLUT7 are cUL Approved for Type E applications and should be selected where KTB7 is used in place of the classic MCP, and the customer needs the features & functions of an electronic overload relay not available on KTA7/KTC7 as follows:

Multiple motor starter panel requires individual OLR resets
Class 15, 20 or 30 OLR
Remote OLR reset
Stall or Ground Fault or PTC relay functions
Communications

Sprecher + Schuh offers Type E/F Simplex and Duplex Combination Controllers for pumping applications. A KTA7 motor controller plus matching CA7 contactor are combined in an enclosure. A complete array of modifications is available on CXP7 and CXDP7 pump panels. Duplex Pump Panels can be fed from one power source or two power sources and can include lead/lag control circuitry or ground fault protection as required to meet special customer needs. Type E/F pump panels are less expensive than the classic Construction Type A (Fusible) or Construction Type C (MCCB) versions.

Sprecher + Schuh has also teamed-up with Wöhner to supply 3-phase 60 mm bus bar systems. Bus Bar systems offers more flexibility, smaller and more economical alternative to a Motor Control Center that uses 'bucket' design.
