CONTACTORS

Sprecher + Schuh's broad line of IEC and NEMA labeled contactors combine performance and reliability in space-saving designs that are well-proven and used the world over. On average, Sprecher + Schuh contactors are 30% smaller than traditional devices in the same horsepower range, yet provide millions of trouble-free operations for years of reliable use. Published SCCR ratings are available when combined with CEP7 overload relays and short-circuit fuses or molded case circuit breakers.

CA8 Miniature Contactors + Starters

CA8 Miniature Contactors + Starters

The CA8 miniature contactors and starters provide an extremely compact and reliable method of controlling motors of 7.5 HP or less (@460V). The CA8 is an economical choice for applications where space is limited or where a minimal enclosure is desired. Offering includes reversing applications. When the CA8 miniature contactor is direct coupled with a CT8 thermal overload relay the result is a very compact starter.

CA7 Series Contactors

CA7 Series Contactors

The CA7 Series of general and special purpose contactors represents the most modern and flexible power contactor available today. A wide selection of contactors in several frame sizes covers the entire CA7 horsepower range (up to 75HP @ 460/575V). Offering includes reversing applications, lighting applications, switching heaters or transformers, including elevator duty, NEMA ratings and HVAC ratings. Various features include DC electronic coils, dual power terminals, mechanically linked contacts (forced guided contacts), and electronic interface. Many of the contactors are only 45mm wide, an extremely small footprint for such rugged performance of 1 million operations or more.

CA9 Contactors

CA9 Contactors

The new CA9 contactor line combines the simple function of the popular CA7 series with the rugged performance demanded in this wide horsepower range.  CA9 contactors offer a smaller footprint than traditional contactors in this class.

The CA9 range comprises of 16 contactors in 6 frame sizes covering motors from 75 to 900HP at 460V and from 100 to 1150HP at 575 V.  This line is ideally suited for demanding applications.

The CA9 series replaces the obsolete CA6 series contactors.

CA6 Contactors DISCONTINUED. SEE CA9.

Sprecher + Schuh's CA6 contactor line combined the simple function of the popular CA7 series with the rugged performance demanded in this middle horsepower range. On average these contactors were 50% smaller than traditional contactors in this size class. CA6 contactors ranged from 75 to 700 HP (@ 575V). Offering included reversing applications, switching heaters or transformers and including elevator duty, and NEMA Sized ratings. Various features included electronic coils and electronic interface with rugged performance of 1 million operations or more.  The CA6 is discontinued, see CA9 series for replacements.
