Sprecher + Schuh is an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer. Both the US and Canada facilities are UL-approved UL508 shops. Our Canadian shop is also CSA-certified. Upon customer request, we can build UL508-listed panels that satisfy the most rigorous UL inspection. And regardless of whether your panel has a UL508 listing, panels built by Sprecher + Schuh adhere to UL-mandated design and wiring standards. Sprecher + Schuh also offersAtex approved hazardous area starters on request. FMS Fractional Manual Starters Sprecher + Schuh Fractional Manual Starters (FMS) offer easy, simple starting of motors up to 1 HP. The FMS consists of a snap switch combined with a thermal overload device operating on the solder-ratchet principle. The fractional manual starter is available in surface mounting Type 1 enclosure with or without neon indicating light for 120, 230 or 277 VAC single phase applications. Heaters are sold separately.

Sprecher + Schuh reversing or non-reversing open magnetic motor starters are simply an assembly of a separate contactor, overload relay and associated wiring. Sprecher + Schuh enclosed magnetic motor starters are sold in any type of enclosure; Type 1 (M1), 12 (M12), 3R (M3), 4 metallic (M4), and 4X stainless steel and non-metallic (F4). Motor starter modifications include CPT, control relays, timers, additional auxiliaries, pilot devices, under voltage or over voltage phase monitors, just to name a few. IEC style or NEMA sized and labeled starters are mounted and wired in the enclosure and ready to install on receipt.

Sprecher + Schuh builds standard and custom manual or magnetic combination and non-combination Type 7/9 explosion-proof motor starters. Starters are available with ATEX approval on demand. HP ranges from fractional to 350 HP with AC or DC coils. Features and modifications include solid state overload relays or thermal overload relays, pilot devices, CPT, control relays, and windows for metering if required. Most enclosures are in stock and ready for assembly without lengthy lead times.

Sprecher + Schuh reduced voltage starters offer controlled starting for low in-rush and smooth operation. RV starters are available in reduced voltage autotransformer, wye-delta, part-winding versions. Reduced voltage starters are designed for starting squirrel cage induction motors where the starting current of a motor is likely to exceed local power company restrictions, interfere with plant operations or where the load may be damaged by high starting torques. RV starters are sold in non-combination or combination models and a full range of modifications or available to suit customer's specific needs.

Sprecher + Schuh builds a wide variety of custom controls from small and simple two starter enclosures, to large complex multi-softstarter, in single or double door panel styles. Their knowledgeable engineering team can design any panel for custom applications to meet UL/cUL, CSA, ATEX, CE and various other standards. Custom Control panels are available in a wide variety of custom combinations and configurations.
